Share the Babywearing Love
Do you have any unused baby carriers sitting in closets at your house? Do you feel inspired to share the babywearing love this holiday season? We have a way to help local families wear their babies! This project has been in the works for nearly a year, and we’re finally ready to get started.Help Our Local Outreach Program
Babywearing International of Phoenix is launching an outreach program that works with local homeless shelters, domestic shelters, and teen pregnancy centers to provide education and free baby carriers the the families served by those agencies. Our program will pilot with UMOM New Day Center, the largest shelter for homeless families in Arizona (https://www.umom.org/learn-more/about-umom/) . All carrier donations will be hand delivered by your local VBEs. Families receiving carriers will work with VBEs to be fitted and given instruction for safely and comfortably using the carriers. We need your carriers to help us stock our outreach program! Donations can be given to any VBE at a meeting, or email us to arrange another method of collection.Enter to win a Wrap Scrap Pack!
Every carrier donated will earn an entry into a raffle for our wrap scrap pack! The wrap scrap pack includes a selection of wrap scrap jewelry, wrap scrap magnets, and a BWIP decal sticker, all packaged in a gorgeous Girasol tote. The wrap scrap pack is valued at over $80. The raffle will be open through December 2015, and we will draw a winner during the first week of January 2016. So dig out your unused carriers and search the sales racks for great deals, and share the love of babywearing!
